Mangala (Mars)

Mars is the warrior of the chart: energy, courage, drive and appetite — the planet that gives you the will to act, and the temper to watch. It is also the protagonist of Mangal Dosha.

What Mars signifies

Mars is shakti in motion — physical energy, courage, discipline, and the drive to compete and protect. It signifies siblings (especially younger), land and property, engineers and soldiers, and the body's muscle and heat. A chart leans on Mars for the sheer will to begin and to finish.

Strong Mars, and Mangal Dosha

Well-placed, Mars gives stamina, decisiveness and physical courage. Pressured, it runs to anger, accidents, or a domineering streak. Its most famous placement is Mangal Dosha (Manglik) — Mars in a marriage-sensitive house — read as heat brought to partnership, with its own cancellations and remedies.

Traditional remedies

Mars is honoured on Tuesdays through Hanuman: the Hanuman Chalisa, red offerings, physical service, and — on advice — red coral. The behavioural remedy is channelling: hard exercise, disciplined work, and a cause worth the fight turn raw Mars into its best form.
